Our first camping experience here in TN. Park was very well maintained, clean and quiet. Our site had decent shade most of the time. Enjoyed walking over to the marina, just wish they allowed pets on their boats so we could enjoy one.

The people are great, the park is neat and clean and there is the Cordell Hull site nearby, good places to eat in nearby Byrdstown.

We camped in a 34' 5th wheel and had a waterfront campsite that was level and spacious. There's enough room on many of the campsites to park your boat. Most campsites have a great view of Dale Hollow Lake. They have a marina with a restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating. Free laundry. Clean restrooms.

Obey River Park Attendants Lisa and Jeff were very helpful throughout our stay, very friendly and courteous. We were disappointed in the fact that all restrooms were not cleaned 2 days a week when cleaning staff were of on those days. We feel that all bathrooms should be cleaned on a daily basis.

My family and I visit Obey River Park and Campground often and we love it there. Jeff and Lisa, the park attendants, are always welcoming and helpful. We love the views of beautiful Dale Hollow Lake that are accessible from many of the campsites. We feel safe here as several times a day the local sheriff's department has officers drive through the park. The US Army Corps of Engineers also has rangers that drive through the park daily. Just up the road in Byrdstown are some great restaurants to visit such as the Dixie Cafe, the Bobcat Den, the Farmhouse and smaller eateries such as Southern Dreams Bakery and Lakeside Sno. Closer to the campground you can find Sunset Marina within walking distance which has a store, and a restaurant called the Steel Coop. There are also several stores in Byrdstown to stock up on groceries and other supplies including approved firewood. If you like to swim or sunbathe you also have access to the swimming area just outside the campground park.
