Pros:
Location of the campground
Access to the restaurant/store and marina.
Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Cons:
The roads needed attention.
Bathhouse could use upgraded.
Internet service was poor.
All in all we will definitely be coming back.

Amazing waterfront site with really wide concrete pad. It even had a built in BBQ and a fire pit. Very close to the marina were family had rented a boat allowing us easy access to the lake.

When we arrived, the grass was so tall it had gone to seed! I asked when the mowers were coming and was told by Ranger Carmen that they only scheduled mowing twice in July. The grass was tall because of abnormal rainfall. It was embarrassing to see our campground like that and uncomfortable to have to walk through weeds around my campsite.
If there is concern about dry July’s and the mowers coming in when the grass isn’t tall enough, it would better to send them away than to have them mow way after the grass gets this tall and leave clumps of grass everywhere. It was so gross.
Also- the bathhouse has sewer flies (moth flies) EVERYWHERE!!! They are awful!
I had my grandaughters over to stay with us and was so embarrassed they had to shower with flies going all over them in the shower.
Why can’t we see basic improvements that wouldn’t cost much just to maintain our campground?

Nice spot on the lake. Host was exceptional! Clean bathrooms & hot showers. Restaurant at the marina was a plus!

Nice park on an amazing lake. The campground needs updating, facilities, road ways, sites etc. There were many low hanging limbs dragging our campers as we made our way to and from our campsites. The road surfaces are in poor condition. The bathroom/shower houses need updating as they are outdated and in poor condition. The campground hosts are nice folks and very rules oriented.

We took our 3 teenagers there to camp in a tent and we all loved it. Reminded me of when I would go there as a kid myself. They’ve already asked to go back next year. A must try is the Bobcat Den and Dixie Cafe.

We just love Jeff and Lisa. They do such a great job keeping the park running smoothly. Everything is always clean, and everyone is always friendly. It’s our home away from home.

The roads need to be redone , been going there for years and never seen the grass so high. Also the dump station needs a trash can, the water hose needs to be replaced. I haven’t been there for 2 years and has the same one with no end to wash out the black tank! Need people to keep things up and running not just ride around in a golf cart!

General
- We look forward to your visit. Please ensure your camping party and visiting guests either receive a copy of the confirmation or are advised of our policies.
- Firewood Policy – Campers may only burn certified heat treated firewood, commercial fire logs, kiln-dried, unpainted, unstained lumber that is free of any metal or foreign substance, or dead and downed branches in the area adjacent to the campsite. View the Nashville District Firewood Policy STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails; follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats, and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. For more information visit https://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/rec.
- Title 36 Rules and Regulations are enforced at Dale Hollow Lake. For more information visit US Army Corps of Engineers Rules and Regulations for Water Resources Projects.
- Alcohol is not permitted.
- Only licensed vehicles are permitted. Each campsite is provided for two pre-paid vehicle entry. Additional vehicles, or visitors to campers are charged a fee per day per vehicle.
- All equipment and vehicles must be located on the designated site pad. Camping is limited to a 14-day stay within a 30-consecutive day period.
- Gates are closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Plan your arrival accordingly. Register at the campground office prior to occupying your site-second booth. When arriving during office closed hours, follow the instructions posted in the window. Return the next day to register and check-in. Late arrivals should call the park at 931-864-6388.
- Holders of the American the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass must present the discount pass and one form of photo identification upon arrival. If the proper documentation is not provided, the full recreation use fee must be paid to use the facility. If a customer makes more than one reservation for the same location and date(s), the discount will only apply to the site the pass owner occupies. The pass owner must be present the duration of the camping stay in order for the full discount to be applied.
- Domestic pets (dogs/cats only) are permitted and must be leashed, controlled and attended at all times with proper removal and disposal of any waste produced by the pet.
- Day Use Area: A $5 vehicle fee per day is charged for the day-use area; $2 per walk-in. Credit card payments only at the automated pay station. Registered campers do not need to make payment at the day use.
- Recreation.gov Rules and Reservation Policies are followed at this park. These policies can be reviewed here.
- No generators shall operate during quiet hours. The operation of any sound producing or motorized equipment, including but not limited to generators, vessels or vehicles, in such a manner as to unreasonably annoy, disrupt or endanger persons at any time is prohibited.

- Obey River Park is adjacent to Sunset Marina. The campground is operated by the Corps of Engineers and the marina by a private concessionaire. Visitors using the marina are subject to operating policies and any launch/parking fees associated with the marina.
