What a beautiful park. Camp hosts were amazing and they had a church service on Sunday morning. That was wonderful. I wish every park had that because it’s very important when you are traveling. Thanks for a great stay. Would definitely return again

Park attendants were pleasant, quiet for the most part. Probably need to regulate electric bikes at night due to high speed drivers. Also the washer at the last bathhouse appears to not be working correctly, extremely long wash cycles, and no hot water wash

We enjoyed the beautiful Dale Hollow Lake in north central TN. The facility was clean and we'll cared for. The campground is next to a nice marina, providing easy access to the whole lake.

The actual campsite #44 was good. We enjoyed the spot. The roadways around Obey River Campground are just to narrow to navigate well when towing a longer 5th wheel or bumper pull. Anything in tandom for that matter. I grew up near there and many years ago when campers where smaller it was fine. Not anymore as the campsites are cramped and when they are all occupied on some of the loops it’s just too congested to safely drive through. No one should ever have to ask another camper if they would mind moving their vehicle just so you can drive through. Further, you absolutely cannot park on grass which further limits campers. We had a guest stop by for about an hour but within 20 minutes the camp host was all over us for parking the left side of the vehicle in the grass. This was to allow for others to squeeze by on the narrow roads. The same hosts came down within very few minutes after we parked a vehicle in one of the small adjacent sites that was not occupied. We did this so we were not parked in the grass nor blocking the roadway. We were told that we couldn’t park in another camp site even though it was unoccupied. In fact almost the entire loop with one other exception at the time was empty and unoccupied. I get the rules but the campground can no longer accommodate equipment and things people have today when camping. Even though I grew up in Pickett Co TN and utilized Dale Hollow at Obey River alot, I won’t be using the campground again.

Policies & Rules
General
- We look forward to your visit. Please ensure your camping party and visiting guests either receive a copy of the confirmation or are advised of our policies.
- Firewood Policy – Campers may only burn certified heat treated firewood, commercial fire logs, kiln-dried, unpainted, unstained lumber that is free of any metal or foreign substance, or dead and downed branches in the area adjacent to the campsite. View the Nashville District Firewood Policy STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails; follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats, and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. For more information visit https://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/rec.
- Title 36 Rules and Regulations are enforced at Dale Hollow Lake. For more information visit US Army Corps of Engineers Rules and Regulations for Water Resources Projects.
- Alcohol is not permitted.
- Only licensed vehicles are permitted. Each campsite is provided for two pre-paid vehicle entry. Additional vehicles, or visitors to campers are charged a fee per day per vehicle.
- All equipment and vehicles must be located on the designated site pad. Camping is limited to a 14-day stay within a 30-consecutive day period.
- Gates are closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Plan your arrival accordingly. Register at the campground office prior to occupying your site-second booth. When arriving during office closed hours, follow the instructions posted in the window. Return the next day to register and check-in. Late arrivals should call the park at 931-864-6388.
- Holders of the American the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass must present the discount pass and one form of photo identification upon arrival. If the proper documentation is not provided, the full recreation use fee must be paid to use the facility. If a customer makes more than one reservation for the same location and date(s), the discount will only apply to the site the pass owner occupies. The pass owner must be present the duration of the camping stay in order for the full discount to be applied.
- Domestic pets (dogs/cats only) are permitted and must be leashed, controlled and attended at all times with proper removal and disposal of any waste produced by the pet.
- Day Use Area: A $5 vehicle fee per day is charged for the day-use area; $2 per walk-in. Credit card payments only at the automated pay station. Registered campers do not need to make payment at the day use.
- Recreation.gov Rules and Reservation Policies are followed at this park. These policies can be reviewed here.
- No generators shall operate during quiet hours. The operation of any sound producing or motorized equipment, including but not limited to generators, vessels or vehicles, in such a manner as to unreasonably annoy, disrupt or endanger persons at any time is prohibited.

- Obey River Park is adjacent to Sunset Marina. The campground is operated by the Corps of Engineers and the marina by a private concessionaire. Visitors using the marina are subject to operating policies and any launch/parking fees associated with the marina.
