Quiet, gorgeous, clean bathrooms and my favorite thing:
I think the lack of sewer hookups keep the MEGA RVs away. Made for a calmer experience in my opinion.

Our camp site was well maintained, clean and the support team did a great job taking care of us campers and the facilities!!! Thank you for that!!! The park rangers were very helpful and friendly. The camp store hours are iffy ... to be fair we were camping in early March so maybe that is off-season. I would make sure that the Camp store management coordinate information flow with the park rangers because they get a lot of questions, but they are not in the loop of the camp store's hours or operations. That is a shame... fix that.... please. All-in-all, we loved our stay and will be back very soon.

The camp ground is in surprisingly good condition given its age. We came for the hiking and it is possible to go on multiple hikes with out driving once you get there.

Important Travel Advisory for Visitors to Bandy Creek Campground If you are traveling from Oneida, TN to Bandy Creek Campground via Highway 297, please be aware that this route includes a 13% downhill grade and winding curves as it descends into the gorge and crosses the Big South Fork River. This section of the highway can be especially challenging for large vehicles, RVs, and those towing trailers. Use caution, reduce speed, and shift to a lower gear before beginning the descent. If you are not comfortable with steep grades and sharp curves, consider an alternate route via Highway 154 to Bandy Creek Road. |
