Love it here! Nice shade, love the circles and ability for kids to ride bikes, pool is nice at a low cost, and playground is nice. A little bit of a difficult drive in but worth it!

Pretty well kept park. Too bad there weren't more campers there. Very clean, near and well built.

The campsite was nice and away from noise. The fire pit needed to be cleaned out so we could cook not so close to the hot coals/fire. The bathrooms were well taken care of. The swimming pool nearby satisfied the kids, and the river nearby is excellent for tubing/kayaking.

Bandy Creek campground is my favorite campground in East TN. Yes, even more than the Smokies because Big South Fork is not half as crowded during the summer as Smoky Mtn Natl. Park. The campsites are level & spacious with lots of trees so it doesn't feel like parking lot camping that some commercial campgrounds have become. It also has decent restrooms, but the last time we visited, only 1 out of 4 sinks in the men's restroom worked. The sinks are motion-activated which makes sense for conservation, but when 3 out of 4 motion detectors don't work, it's time to replace them! I understand why the camp store cannot be open 5 days a week since the park probably can't afford that full-time staffing but the restroom plumbing should be routine maintenance.

We have camped at Bandy Creek many times. It’s been several years so we were a bit disappointed in the following.Love the Mtb trails.
1-Campground store was never open the entire time we were there. (Sunday-Thursday)
2. Trash bins were so full on Monday you could not add any more trash. They finally emptied them on Wednesday.
3. The bridge across the river was a total wreck. We always went down there and enjoying the water and sights. Very obvious there is zero maintenance going on.
4. It’s just sad to see the demise of such a nice campground. Other campers had the same opinion of what was going on. I don’t think we saw a park ranger The whole time we were there.

Bandy Creek was great! The whole facility was super clean and well maintained. It was conveniently located just across the road from the Visitor’s Center and a camp store and right on trails and gravel roads for biking and hiking.
