Such a fantastic campground, it is one of our favorites! The bathrooms are well maintained - and what a pleasure to enjoy a warm shower after a day of hiking! I love that we were able to easily leave from our campground on our hikes, going 17 miles one day and 6 miles the next. The rangers at the visitor's center are helpful and they have some fun items for purchase to commemorate your stay.
There is a camp store but it was not opened when we tried to visit, despite the signage suggesting that it was within their operating hours, so it's unclear when the store is open. Firewood is available by the bundle, have cash for the box to pay for it.

Everything went great! This campground felt very safe to be at as a solo female traveler. The bathrooms are also the nicest I've seen at a campground. They are heated, hot showers, water bottle refill station, and sink outside bathroom for washing stuff.

Have been coming to bandy creek campground for years. Feels like coming home each time we visit. Thanks for keeping the campgrounds in such good shape.

Road from the east was treacherous. Sites not close to level and most too short for even a medium RV.

Bandy Creek Campground has been one of our favorite campgrounds for over 25 years. The bathrooms are clean, the staff are always friendly and helpful. There are almost always plenty of level camping spots to choose from, including a pull-through buddy spot. The hiking and horseback riding trails are awesomely beautiful.

Great facilities, clean, nice spaces. Table was a bit aged and dirty but otherwise excellent

We had a wonderful time with our hiking club group at the park. But using this park was new to us and we were very disappointed with the interaction we had with park employees. When we first arrived, we went to the visitor's center. Because we had not been able to complete online reservations for a campsite with electrical hookups (we knew there were vacancies available), we asked for assistance direction to find what we might need. My husband was told there were no campsites with electrical hook-ups and no attempt made to offer assistance. Someone from out group campsite helped us find and go to the entry office for sites close to our group site. The gentleman manning the booth told us we would have to stand there in the parking area and place our reservations with our phone in order to book one of their many empty sites. After being bumped off the registration process numerous times, we finally booked a site, but only for 3 nights, not the four we were attempting to reserve. Sooo, after realizing how unwelcoming and unhelpful campground personnel were, we decided to only stay the 3 nights we had managed to reserve. And, of course, determined not to stay or recommend the campground in the future. It is a beautiful area and losing our "business" will be no great loss, but thank you for an opportunity to share our experience .

I would like for someone to tell me why the park spent thousands of dollars repaving the campground and did not extent the pavement to include the side of the road where larger vehicles/campers obviously have to be off the pavement to go around a curve. Not only that, but because of the new asphalt over the old, the drop off from the pavement can cause the vehicle to drag, potentially causing damage.
The campground is old and does not accommodate large vehicles very well, but this would have been a simple improvement if it had been made at the time the repaving was done.
If anyone can provide feedback I would appreciate it, but as usual, I think surveys go into a black hole.

Excellent camping facility. Making the reservation was a bit tricky,... trying to reserve two sites... it took some doing. However, we later canceled one of the sites and the camp manager was helpful.

The day hikes are great. And the stars at night amazing.
