What a beautiful location! We love that this campsite is dog-friendly. The only thing missing are hiking trails walkable from the site. We ended up just walking through the site itself, as this is more of a 'sit and enjoy the view' kind of experience. Our neighbors were fishing, which is another great activity, but knowing this we would also not try and swim anywhere but the public beach that's available near the entrance of the site. We didn't end up doing this either because that public area was not dog-friendly and we wouldn't want to leave our pup by herself.

We were fortunate to have a shaded site with a perfect view of CHL... weather was perfect. Campground was very clean and restrooms looked to be cleaned daily. Lake level was down a little too much for my liking but that’s out of their control. We were there early September 21’...definitely would return.

I have been camping here for over 20 yrs. In the midst of another wave of the pandemic, it was so nice to come back, have a much needed family weekend away from the house and still socially distanced enough from others to have a fun and safe weekend. As always, the bath houses were well taken care of and cleaner than any I've seen. I'm so glad that Floating Mills was opened back up for camping following a hard year for everyone in 2020. Thank you to all of those that work hard to keep our parks, campgrounds and facilities going for us all to enjoy!

This is the second year we've camped at floating mills!! It doesn't disappoint. We were actually a little late booking our trip, so we got a site we weren't sure we were going to like, we loved it!!!! Can't wait for more trips next year and our annual labor day trip!! We fished everyday, that is our main thing, fishing and just relaxing.

I was disappointed that we were not able to use the boat dock for loading people onto the boat. The floating dock was completely out of the water. This was the case in the campground and in the day use area. When you have older adults wishing to get into a boat it is imperative that the dock ins floating in the water so the boat can be pulled up next to it. It appears that all it would take is some attention to detail as the water level is lowered.
