Love this campground; however, the park attendant and park ranger superintendent needs to be more customer friendly. Campgrounds on the lake are going to have paying customers with boats. Parking boat trailers around the area of the dock was not allowed; therefore, campers were left having to find other alternatives. There is ample room there around the dock to park boat trailers, extra vehicle, etc. even with the water up but it wasn't allowed. Park attendant was on top of it and was abiding by the park ranger rules but could have been a little nicer in doing so.

we try to always use a state park, so was not sure what to expect, LOVED IT. was great right from check in, everyone was very nice and helpful. It seemed all sites had a water view, and some right on the water! nice playground and swimming area (also boat ramp and dock) even had free laundry! I think the camping here was better then near by Edgar Evans state park (we tried to reserve here and rode through to check it out) close to near by attractions. I would recommend Cummins falls and burgess falls.

I love Floating Mill! For the 1st time they kept trying to say my reservation was for 2 less days than it was. It was straightened out but a little annoying. Also, as always the grass was overgrown. I don’t understand when they mow. It always is high when I’m there. I have never seen them mowing in all the years I’ve been camping there. 😞

The campground was nice. We stayed at the end of the campground in the tent section. It would have been great but there were some rowdy teenagers near us that stayed up until about 1 AM making noise. If it has not been for that it would have been a terrific stay. The lake was beautiful and we had deer in the campground. I would like to come back here and camp again in the future.

It’s a great camp ground with good host. It’s a good lake to bring your boat and enjoy!
