We decided last minute to camp on Labor Day Weekend. I was very surprised there were any openings. Although we had never stayed there before, we wanted to camp, so we gave it a shot. The whole family loved it. Even though the campground was at capacity that weekend, the bathrooms remained clean and stocked with paper, and the campground was well maintained. We will stay at a site with direct access to the water next time. I think we stayed at 107, it was the first site at the end of the road. The sunset views were beautiful. We even had our pups up there with no issues. We will certainly go back this summer.

I arrived late on Labor Day weekend and was probably the last to check into my reserved site, the campground was full. The grounds were clean, people were very nice and respectful. It was quiet. I stayed only one night but really enjoyed the experience.
The reservation system is great. I was passing through on a cross country motorcycle trip and felt secure knowing that I had a place to camp for the night. It was relaxing to watch the sunset over the lake, take a shower, hang out and chat with the other campers.

Great place to camp during the week. I pretty much had the tent area to myself. They do not sell wood on sit. So if you want a fire, be prepared to drive into Smithville. Tractor Supply wood was great.

The campsites are a little tight. But the campsites were clean, the staff was polite. In all we enjoyed our stay.

{"text"=>"This area is tucked away off a boat dock in the corner of the lake, giving it a private and peaceful vibe. We visited the day before the 4th of July, and while it was busy, it never felt overcrowded or chaotic.\n\nThe space is well-designed with imported sand along the bank and a closed-off area in the water to keep it safe and contained. There are also two playgrounds, built-in barbecues, and shaded pavilions—perfect for families or group outings.\n\nMy only suggestion would be to add a bit more shade and repair some of the seating areas. Otherwise, it’s a great spot to relax, play, and enjoy the outdoors without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. $5/car.\n\n---\n\nLet me know if you'd like a shorter version or to customize it further!", "languageCode"=>"en"}
