What Guests Are Saying
Ragland Bottom is highly praised for its friendly and helpful camp hosts, clean restrooms, and well-maintained facilities, making it a favorite camping destination. Visitors enjoy beautiful views of Center Hill Lake and appreciate the spacious, level sites available. While some noted issues like steep walk-in site access and occasional disturbances from other campers, the overall experience remains positive and many express a desire to return.

The campground was very clean and well maintained. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the bathhouse also. The staff was very friendly and encouraged us to return. A beautiful area and well worth the trip. We put this place on our return camping trips.

Stayed at site 29.
Being right by the lake was nice for the kids as they could swim within eye sight of camp. Rocks are sharp so something on your feet is best. The pad you get is quite large, has power and water to it.
This site has no parking spot near it. You either have to block the narrow road slightly and carry your stuff down (and back up after your stay) and a pretty steep hill or you can park a little down to road in a small parking lot and tackle the hill.
The bathrooms and showers were ok and were kept clean.
All in all we spent two nights and enjoyed the stay.

Ragland is an all around awesome campground with awesome hosts. The only thing wrong is that there are far too many “tent” sites and not enough for RV’s. 50%+ of the tent sites need converted to accommodate RV parking. There’s an extra unused bath house at the top. Plenty of opportunity for more folks to enjoy this wonderful campground and Center Hill Lake.

We love camping at Ragland Bottom. The water view is breathtaking. This site has one of the best. Best camp host and hostess you could ever meet in Tom and his wife. Unfortunately our stay was cut short a day thanks to a nearby tornado and the threat of another bad storm. Tom made sure that everyone was warned and advised to leave the campground for their safety. We have several more stays planned for later this year.

Our campsite was great. The campground amenities were equally good. The only reason we did not give it a 5 star review is because of the showers. The angle of the shower head and the inability to adjust the angle made showering uncomfortable....and even painful. Plus the shower heads were designed more for shorter people.

Nice park , however stayed 2 weeks and no sign of the mowing service . The lawn is beyond out of control . We stay here every year for the past 5 years and this is first time we were a little disappointed.
Also it would be nice to re paint site numbers as they are beyond recognizable
We had neighbors come in and could not find there site for a while

Wonderful park attendants / host. We enjoy staying at Ragland Bottom especially when our site has full hook-ups. Some of the RV / Trailer sites may be a little to close for some and may be not for others. This was our second stay at Ragland Bottom and will not be the last.
