Indian Boundary Campground offers a beautiful, tranquil setting with well-maintained facilities, spacious and shaded campsites, and clean bathrooms, making it an ideal location for family-friendly activities like hiking, swimming, and kayaking. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the helpful camp hosts, as well as the scenic lake and beach area. However, some concerns include limited bathroom facilities, occasional rudeness from park rangers, and the lack of cell service, which may impact convenience. WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO INDIAN BOUNDARY FOR AWHILE NOW AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO CAMP ! THE HOSTS ARE FANTASTIC, THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND THEY DO AN EXCELLENT JOB KEEPING THE RESTROOMS NICE AND CLEAN. THERE ARE MANY BEAUTIFUL ATTRACTIONS IN THE AREA. BALD RIVER FALLS ARE BREATHTAKING, THERE IS FISHING ALL IN THE AREA AS WELL AS AT THE CAMPGROUND. AND OF COURSE IT IS BEAUTIFUL JUST DRIVING THE ROADS IN THE AREA AND TAKING IN THE SCENERY. CAMPING AT INDIAN BOUNDARY IS BOUND TO PLEASE EVEN THE HARD TO PLEASE.

The campground was kept in great condition. The only thing that would be nice to have on the campsites is better access to water. Water hookups would be nice.

Love this campground. I'm sick of picking up trash around locations where kayaks are put in. If you bring it in take it out.

We had a great time and loved the lake! Spiders are kinda everywhere at night, even like under your picnic table area, which is expected I guess lol. I would suggest having a screen tent for that area if possible and enjoy hanging out at night. Only complaint I really have is I felt we were kinda nit picked at, about a few things bc our tent area was near host sites. If you know about the campground, I would just suggest getting one further away. We were told to turn OFF, not down or anything, the music that we were playing in the middle of the day. I was under the impression that quiet time was after 10pm. It was like 3pm with only my husband, me, and our 6 year old son, so we weren’t loud at all. The music wasn’t blaring or anything. I mean people have it louder at the lake where everyone is and several playing at one time. I just believe it was bc we were near two host sites and apparently didn’t like the music. Wasn’t really a big deal, and we turned it off, but I was a little upset that we were asked to completely shut it off when it was the middle of the day. It was also a Sunday and besides the host area, there was many empty sites around us that stayed empty. We stayed til Monday and they were never occupied; was just a little aggravating. All in all, we had a great time as a family and really enjoyed being together there! This is always one of our favorite places. I will just be a bit more choosey about my site location next time. Now I know why it was available on a weekend, on short notice lol

We always have a great time. We have been camping at Indian Boundary for 33 years. The new trash dumpster are to heavy to open and some are in the way as the one in A loop across from site 4. My truck is a long bed and my camper is long and it was difficult to get backed in. Also some tree limbs need trimming as a limb got stuck in my antenna. We looked at site 15 and would like to stay in it but there is a limb to low. Also we kayak when we camp at the last several times when trying to use the boat dock people are swimming and are in the way. Some move so you can back in but some don’t. You may want to start charging day use just like the beach area. Also I would post no litter signs and sign that say if continue you will have to start charging clean up fees.

I'm always grateful when I'm able to stay at Indian boundary. This past experience was a little different. What I noticed was trash everywhere and especially the trail. You have to ask yourself why? Is it bad parenting? Or is it the new poorly designed bear trash cans. I'm 5'7 and a large size lady and can't hardly open them. It takes 2 hands and then you don't have a hand to hold your trash. These trash cans discriminate against the elderly, short people, children and especially the handicap. This really makes me think that whomever designed these have absolutely no knowledge of their use. I really hope that the Cherokee national Forrest/Indian boundary don't end up in a lawsuit because of them. I see it coming.
Now let's talk about your new reservation policies. They are horrible...PERIOD.
I'm asking that Cherokee National Forrest start hiring people with common sense. Life is simple so stop complaining it.
I would like to say that the camp host at Indian boundary are awesome. They always go above and beyond to help everyone.

Extended family camped in five adjacent sites. All grandchildren had fantastic experience with bikes, swimming, fishing and friendships. Perfect place for kids to experience like without internet and smart phone connectivity.
