What Guests Are Saying

Rock Creek Campground is a lovely and clean site, offering beautiful views of the river and great access to hiking trails. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, lack of cell service, and well-maintained facilities, including clean bathrooms and bear-proof food storage. While some experienced issues with campsite reservations and noted limited parking, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a quiet, nature-filled getaway.

Campground was very clean and well kept. There's a trailhead and river access. This is an alternate take out for Nemo. Get your reservation before you arrive as there is very spotty cell service.

I’ll cut some slack because of the pandemic year. This campground is small and nice. Right on the river. Only issues were the all night every night local derby around the campground with radios up. And no ranger came by at all to confirm reservations and a few of the people I spoke to said they just camped for free. None of this is a big deal to me but some people may lose their minds with all the lawlessness. Oh yeah and the worst by far was that because no one checked in on the facility for the week we were there, there was no toilet paper the entire time we were there. Again not the end of the world bc we were prepared but I saw too many people go in to poo only to scream for help (toilet paper) or worse come out with one less garment than they went in with

It’s a small campground with just a few sites, and the sites are spaced well enough that it doesn’t feel crowded even when full. The river is beautiful and some of the campsites abut it. The vault toilet is one of the cleaner I’ve seen. Parking is a bit tight in certain areas in a full size truck but it’s manageable.

Amazing views of the river and nice sites to stay at. Tent pad was nice and overall campground was in great condition. Not too many sites which makes it much more relaxing than some larger campgrounds. The only thing to be aware of is that the road that takes you from the main road to the paved road in the campground is unpaved. Not sure why they just didn't finish the job but it is a very bumpy ride so be prepared for that. I passed with a Chevy Cruze but I wouldn't recommend anything less than that.

There is a lot of trash in the park like a ridiculous amount you need to do something about that before you do anything else

A decent campground close to the river and accessible to lots of what the Obed offers. It can feel crowded as the sites are pretty close together. Each site has a fire ring, bear box, and picnic table. A good launching-point campsite if you plan to take advantage of other Obed activities (climbing, rafting, hiking, etc)

Category About
General

Black bears and other wildlife frequent this campground. Please keep in mind that “food” to a bear includes any item with a scent, regardless of packaging. This may consist of items that you do not consider food, such as canned goods, horse feed, bottles, drinks, soaps, cosmetics, toiletries, trash, ice chests (even when empty), and unwashed items used for preparing or eating meals. All these items must be stored properly.
--Secure coolers, grills, cooking utensils, horse feed, any food not in use, and anything with food odors inside the locked compartment of a vehicle or trailer or a bear proof storage locker if available. Food storage lockers each measure approximately 29" deep x 38" wide x 43" tall.
--Wipe off picnic tables and grills. Properly discard aluminum foil used for cooking.
--Avoid burning garbage in fire rings because it will leave behind grease and food scraps.
--Always discard all garbage in wildlife proof trash cans or dumpsters. Keep a clean campsite.
--Do not hang garbage from lantern poles.

Following these guidelines will keep you from getting your property confiscated from your campsite.
We appreciate your cooperation.
