Our first camping trip went incredibly well. We got the perfect camping site with lots of shade the entire time. It felt safe, and there is just so much to do! Lots of hiking and fishing spots around Buchanan Dam! We are thinking about making it a tradition to come out here at least once a year. Wonderful park.

This park is LCRA and apparently it was "rented for a celebration of life." We were not allowed to go into the park, only asked to turn around. We were watched like hawks🤔 Thought that was highly unusual and would have been nice if, 1. They posted something on their website. 2. Been a little kinder. Was taken back by the "attitude " of the chick at the gate. Especially since we came all the way from San Antonio. Highly suggest to call first before making any plans to visit this park.

Stayed here three nights while in town visiting a friend I loved it! Great sights, beautiful lake, wonderful people and great prices. The view from 29 and 31 is just phenomenal. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

A nice good getaway for just a couple of day. If you come after hours, make sure you call first ahead of time and they'll give you all the information you need by email. Check-in is between 4pm to 5pm and the office close at 5pm.

One of our favorite “Go-To” spots locally. We always enjoy the drive there and back, and now with the lake being full for the first time in 20 years, the park is even better.

There are some nice little cabins for you if you are wanting to do more than just a day trip, but for the day trippers, there is plenty of room to enjoy the beautiful sunlight and wonderful lake. Be sure to take some snacks, some hot dogs/burgers and a cooler of nice drinks to help you enjoy every moment. There are restrooms on-site, some firepits, charcoal grills, and even a nice little mini-golf course.

This is simply an almost perfect spot to take the family as everyone will be able to enjoy themselves – get a tourney started with the golf, enjoy getting in a swimming in the lake, enjoy a nice stroll around the park, or simply grab a chair and enjoy a book, but be sure to kick back and enjoy the sunset while enjoying that tasty burger…
