People need to keep their pets on leashes. They also need to use common since, wind blowing at 30mph and having a open fire. Wood provided by park host “?”.

Loved this Park. Sites were spacious and all had some angle for views of the lake. The staff are very helpful and courteous. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.

The park was nice, clean and well maintained with spacious sites, but I have 2 issues: (1) I KNOW our site was empty when we arrived (30 minutes before check-in), but the camp host refused to let us in—gave some lame excuse about “lake management”. The lake was so low and the boat ramp was closed, so not sure what part of the lake he was managing. Seriously, a 3 pm check-in is late. All other federal and state facilities will let you in if the site is vacant. (2) the gates LOCK at 9 pm, and there is no way in other than to leave our vehicle outside the park and walk in. I have no problems walking, but I’m not leaving our $100K truck on that road! Can’t even go to dinner in San Antonio, or see local live music because of the early closure. You need a gate code!!! Won’t be back because if we can’t use the lake or go into town at a normal dinner hour, what’s the point?

The park is spacious, clean, and easily accessible. The lake views are beautiful even though the lake level is low. Deer roam freely and the birds are prolific! Warm, clean restrooms. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
