We were there for two nights and three days at site 52, 2. We had a spectacular lake front view with plenty of shade which is important in this Texas heat. We were able to walk down to the lake to swim with our dogs. This side of the site, the sunset is AMAZING. We were in awe both nights. In the mornings, the sunrise is just a few steps away on the other side. The view is just as amazing and makes for a nice morning walk with our dogs. Bathroom and showers are CLEAN. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and will return! :)

Unless you just stay in your tent this park is worthless. No decent water access except to launch your boat. Extremely difficult to find campsites as they are poorly marked. Gate attendant was acting very bizarre in the evening. This park was better when it was public and you could just come and go.

Peaceful and calming. Showers could be cleaned a bit more but for the most part, no complaints.

Very nice campsite! Love that our campsite have its own trait to go to the water. It was super hot when we went (Early September) so be prepared for that. Ants are everywhere so another thing to expect. The gatekeeper is a sweetheart! Bathrooms are very nice and clean. Beautiful night sky, we saw several shooting stars!
