I had a great time, and the area was super well maintained and had great facilities. It's been way too long since I had been camping, and this was a wonderful welcome back. Now I'm ready to go back do it again already.

We were near the water, the sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking everyday. The place was clean, well maintained a little buggy and a few scorpions came to visit, but other than that we loved it here. From the the gate attendant to the hosts everyone was kind, helpful and polite. The only negs were, we could only stay for 14 days and no (official) access to the lake for a cooling swim!! If we find ourselves in this area again this is the place we'd stay. We do recommend when you're in town to eat at the 'Italian Garden Restaurant'. We're native NY'ers and loved this place (a surprise find in this part of the country). divertiti e mangia ! :)

The water was so clear and the boat ramp was easy to use for our kayaks. I wish it had a beach as the rocks are difficult to navigate when trying to swim. We love the small, quiet RV camping area and will come again and again!

So much to do...Camping, biking, wide open area for fun in the sun. You have your own boat ramp for when you Cramp. You can fish off the peir also.
At night, camp fire, star gazing...not crowded. GREAT LOADS OF FUN.

Beautiful location, clean and quiet. Restrooms/showers were clean and so were the campsites. A few deer in the area, they walk in between the campsites and the waters edge.

Close to San Antonio and Ft Sam Houston. A nice quiet campground with concrete parking pads that are very level. Shower/bathroom clean. Front entrance operated by staff and the campground is monitored. Local Sheriff makes rounds also. Plenty of deer in area. Town of Bulverde has majority of usual stores, shops, and fast food. Town of Startzville has a laundry called Spinnerz which is a decent laundry.
