The sites are level and paved. There’s a lot of room between sites and the covered picnic table is great. We were in site 1 and had unobstructed views of the lake. The park is neat and clean and very well maintained. Having only 30 sites it was very quiet. We had a 22’ trailer and tow vehicle. Be advised that the gate closes at 10:00. We enjoyed it.

Cranesmill is an excellent place to camp. We have been here quite a few times and are always happy. This time the womans restrooms were filthy!

Very nice quiet rustic park. Lots of excellent walking for humans and dogs. Great staff. Melissa was awesome. We just need an affordable place near Bulverde to visit family and this works so well for us. We will be back.

Park was really good and we had police and Animal visiting the park every day several times. Just the grass in our spot was in need of some attention, bathroom was clean and working as it should. Thank you
The two state parks we visited before, we had problem in both with noise after hours and nobody was taking care of it.

As an avid kayaker, it would be nice if the boat ramp was not blocked off for kayaks.

The park was very nice however I thought there was going to be a swimming area and there was not. I know after reading the literature more closely that it is basically and a boating and fishing lake but I don't understand why you would not make a few swimming areas in this park.
The pictures led you to believe you could at least walk down to the lake but that was impossible because of all the cactus and weeds. This is not a park I would recommend to my friends and I will not be going back.

The bathrooms were FILTHY!!! There was feces and vomit on the floor. There were a couple of weeks of bug accumulation on the floor, bugs in the sinks and all over the counter. There was toilet paper on the floor and counters. The showers had mud covering the floors. It looked like animals had invaded the spaces. I have never seen such disgusting bathrooms, especially at at Corps managed park. The first night we were there, we got no sleep - there were partiers everywhere, screaming all night - No quiet time. It was our first time at Cranes Mill, so we didn't know that this was a party park. We did speak with a gentleman the morning we were leaving who told us that the government was at fault and that the cleaning contract was up and the new cleaners had not started. My comment to that is, if there are people working at the park, then perhaps they should get off their butt and do a little cleaning themselves, at least sweep the floors! The people who are paying for the sites deserve clean bathrooms. We won't be back.
