My sister, granddaughter, close friend and myself had a wonderful girl's camping trip!! Mr. Craig came by frequently as did the staff who take care of the facilities. It was nice to stay more than 2 days which is our usual timeline. And it was nice and peaceful which we all needed. We will be returning soon!!

Double Lake camping spots were roomy and clean. The lake views were awesome, and we caught and released a bunch of fish off shrimp and worms. The only drawback is that there is no dump station that we could find, but it does tell you no dump station.

Beautiful quiet park. The camp hosts at site 10 (I didn’t ask their names and should have!) were attentive and hard working!! They were always around cleaning restrooms, picking up sites, or just checking to see if anyone needed anything. Great place and people!

Great for young toddlers. Nice 1-1 1/4 paved loop for biking and walking around the lake. Very quiet campground with attentive staff. Clean bathrooms.

Nice campgrounds. Very quiet and peaceful. The restrooms near our site were shut down which was inconvenient but there was another a little further down. Looks like lots of empty buildings on site. Not sure if they are camping amenities but all were closed. Maybe because its early Spring or due to Covid-19. Over all we really enjoyed our stay.

From New Waverly, Texas, go 22 mi east on Highway 150 to FM 2025. Turn and drive south 0.3 mi to the campground.

General
- PLEASE DO NOT DISPOSE FLUSHABLE WIPES INTO CAMPGROUND WASTEWATER SYSTEM. THESE PRODUCTS CAUSE SIGNIFICANT BLOCKAGE ISSUES AND ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OUR WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM.
- Two vehicles included with each standard site fee; Four vehicles included with group site fee; extra vehicles charged $9 per night on-site
- Only two tents and up to eight people are allowed at a single occupancy campsite
- No access for newly arriving campers.
- Fire permitted in fire rings only
- Street Legal Vehicles Only
- No alcohol.
- Day use fee of $7 per vehicle per day; annual pass $30 per vehicle; walk-in or bicycle $1 per person per day; dump station use $5 per use
- Site must be occupied in the first 24 hours of reservations
