Staff, visitors and annuals are all some of the nicest, REAL and genuine people I have ever been blessed to meet. They have a pool and a gym. They have water aerobics and activities daily. They are also pet friendly. I feel extremely fortunate to have found this campground and community. Thank you all!

I'm a loyal Thousand Trails enthusiast and love most of their parks. But I have to warn folks who want to stay at this one in the summer. If you're in the E-section (the largest section of the campground), you're in for an endurance test. All of the trees in this section have been wiped out. So there is ZERO shade and hot blacktops. Nobody will be outside during the day. And if you have dogs you'll have to keep them in until nightfall. Not to mention all of these spots have your trailer facing direct sun in the afternoon. So have fun sitting next to your sewer hose from noon-8:00 PM.

For context we have 2 well maintained A/C's in a 34' 5th wheel and we were sweating inside.

We had a two week reservation and left after one night because they didn't have a space for us in the trees. Most of them are taken up by permanent sites. So good luck.

I hate to complain about something that will take 20 years to fix. But this was just a result of poor planning. I know I can't be the first person to bring this up.

Lastly, on a positive, they're short staffed but super friendly. Linda did everything she could to get us into a better spot but the computer wouldn't let us move. Take care and get to planting!

Limited staff interaction but seemed super helpful and engaging. Wildlife here is pretty active, deer every evening and other critters running around. Ants, fire ants, every where in the new section "E". I addressed it with the front desk when I explained to them why we were leaving early. Walking our pups was like watching for land mines to keep them safe. It was rough on them and us. The staff genuinely looked surprised and hopefully they will be addressing it! Please be careful with your fur babies when walking them, especially around the fishing pond.

Trails were very nice and the park is beautiful, quiet, and very secluded feeling. Only used the bathrooms in our section a couple of times but they seemed well kept. Pool was a little dirty the few times we went but it's an outside pool, realistic expectations folks. Site was pretty level and easy in and out (PT). Only one dog park but they do have plans to put in another one. Hopefully more central to the sites and larger to allow the dogs to run around a bit!
Boat ramp appears to be overgrown by weeds and snake friendly so use caution down there. Laundry room was a little dated but all the machines were working well.

All in all we enjoyed the stay with the exception of the fire ant infestation they are facing. Please take care of it. We would stay again if it is along the route but I don't see us detouring to come back. It just wasn't for us is all. You might very well love it!
