If you are looking for a nice quiet place to spend a couple of days away from your every day life, Promontory Park is a wonderful place to do that. Plenty of shade trees, good distance from the water and the facilities are well kept in my opinion. Roomy sites with picnic table and fire ring. Great place to stay.

Loop 4 site 75 faces the the West and looks directly at the setting sun. A great spot but bring a step stool for the steps on your camper. It’s a pretty good drop off. Other than that, it was perfect.

The lights over the tables did not work. The electrical box at the end did not work and was filled with ants. All the water hookups had to be cleaned out from debris (leaves, dirt, trash). Several of the water hookups leaked and sprayed. The steps going up to the tables are slanted and narrow and not accessible for elders.

we were in site 32 for a couple days, beautiful site except for the one million or so ants that got into our trailer and made a mess of the place. would stay here again but not in that site.

The park attendants were very friendly and helpful as usual. I did have issues with the 110V outlets on the distribution post but I was able to do without it.
I did hear some complaints about the heat in the bathroom and showers also although we didn't use them personally.
