We stayed in site 31, while the sites could use some updating it had great access to the lake, but it was completely ruined by the ants! They were EVERYWHERE you couldn’t sit in the beach and enjoy the water or you’d be covered in under a minute. You couldn’t sit at the picnic table or outside or you’d be covered, it truly ruined the whole experience. While I understand we are in nature and they are part of that these ants took over the entire campsite and lake and took the calmness out of camping. We won’t be back

There was no one there at the gate to tell us where we were going. When we finally found the spot we paid for someone was already in it. Could not access the lake from the camp spot we had to take because someone took the one we paid for. Full of fire ants. We didn’t even stay the full 2 nights we paid. Not worth the money or gas to get there. Horrible!!!

First time ever to lake proctor didn’t go as planned. campsite #33, got the camper setup, paddle boards aired up, coolers iced down, drove into town for food to grill. Took roughly 45 mins to get back. ANTS WERE ALL OVER EVERYTHING! They were terrible. The whole backside of the camper was covered with ants. We sprayed everything with water and packed everything back up. WE DIDNT STAY!

Very nice place which seems to be under utilized. The bath houses could use some updating and added ventilation as it is Texas and we were 100 plus degrees everyday. The gate attendants especially Dale are very nice. We have now stayed here twice and would stay again.

One of my favorite places to camp at. I reserved a new spot that looked like it had a nice fishing spot but when I got there it had alot of weeds and was far away from the water. Pics can be deceiving. I was able to get online and rent another spot a couple places down and loved it. It was to late to get my money back for the other one
