When we got to the campsite somebody else was parked at our site. I called and they gave me another number to call to try to get help. I called the number and left a voicemail and nobody ever called me back. We ended up pitching our tents out in the middle of all of the campsites and using one of the empty site's water and electric hookup. It was a mess trying to figure out what we should do.

I had a very pleasant experience. it's on the bank of the Red River with a good view of the river and Dam. I look forward to going back.

Mostly for RVs. If you're a tent-camper, sites 1-10 won't have anybody behind you. Don't expect a lot of privacy even so. Phones work everywhere nearby, and there is a gas station just up the road if you forget some basics.

Sites are packed together closely. Restrooms were some of the most disgusting I’ve seen at any compound. I wouldn’t go back, but I wouldn’t tell anyone to stay away - as long as they can bring their own toilet.

Nice enough spot. Had a few cars driving around after dark looking for camping spots. No cover between camping spots and the place was difficult to find. I asked at the travel center at the border and they told me how to get there. Had electricity and water. Would stay there again.

It’s not spectacular of a spot, but it’s near Eisenhower state park and is clean

A small, quaint campground off Power Plant Rd. Sites 15, 17, & 18 have no tree cover. Site 19 is near the dumpster &vault bathroom & has one tree. Ok for Fall in Texas but not Summer in Texas. The host is at site 1 across from 19. Never saw them though. It was very peaceful & well-suited for those more interested in fishing than the camping aspect (grilling, games, etc). Oh, the grill is the fire pit with the removable grill grate, no awnings, & concrete tables, just fyi. When night falls, things get really sketchy. The place is kind of a free-for-all & people come & go at all hours of the night. I saw people that would park just outside of the campgrounds & presumably, crash in their car. Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am, but there was a large group that was obnoxiously loud until past 3am on Saturday night. Which, hey, have your fun, but maybe leave the loud cheering & hammering nails into a tree stump game for the daylight hrs? Fishing was easy enough to get to by just walking down a slightly steep hill, there are paths all along. If just fishing off the edge by the campground, TX fishing license needed, if you get on the water in a boat or otherwise, gotta have that OK license. All in all, I might return for more cold-weather camping, but in a RV. No more tent camping. It just didn't feel all that safe, & only in a pinch. The usual sites we camp at were booked, but we really wanted to enjoy the weather outside this weekend. Oh, tons of sharp sticker burrs in the grass (my poor pooch got it bad!) & there is a facility at the front with flushing toilets and showers but proceed with caution there too. The women's side was relatively clean (nothing on the walls and such)& definitely preferred to the vault bathrooms. No soap and by Sunday, no t.p. either. There is a Valero just a couple minutes up the road off 75& they have everything! Including, much cleaner restrooms :-) I'd pay $30 p/n if new R.R.'s installed & few more security rounds to kick ppl out after 10pm.
