Stayed on the west side. Sites were well groomed and large enough to be private. Will definitely be going there again. Needs access to beach area.

Camp ground was clean and quiet. All campers were respectful and courteous of each other. Water worked and bath room was clean and stocked. Once out of the grounds, walking the shoreline was disappointing because of all the trash piled up floating in from the lake.

We love Juniper point. East and West sides are well maintained and both have good boat ramps with a dock. There is the crosstimbers hiking trail which is an intermediate hike with great views. Fishing is year round. Catfish, striper, crappie, and our favorite..sand bass are all in the area. Not far from the islands as well all of the west side marinas including Cedar mills which has a great restraunt, Pelicans landing.

The only thing that would be better about Juniper point campsites would be if they were full hookups.

Reservation was early December 2023.
Construction being done at entrance of park. Road very bumpy
Toliets are not flushable, hole dug in ground...1 step up from a porta-potty. No hands washing/sink in the toilet area. And the toilet itself was nasty, three feet of explosive stuff that was eww.
Showers were closed, and the closest one was about 15 miles away and costs $8.50. No water.
There was electricity, but you should be prepared for basically being self contained.
There is a casino right across the bridge.
Nice views.
Nice concrete pads to park on. (Although, on ours, a truck pulling trailer, the length of the two did not allow for truck and trailer disconnect due to the angle of drive in and pad. It could be very difficult).
Most of my complaints might be diminished if it wasn't winter time.

Disadvantages were: had to stay 2 nights, bath house needed more cleaning, bath house should be marked as unisex (other COE campground bath houses have this) instead of men or women and the entrance was under construction but there was no warning on the website.
Advantages were: very convenient to Cross Timbers Trail, nice paved pad and table and convenient to the lake.
