The park is beautiful and facilities are great. I’ve camp here since the 1970’s and even hiked the connecting Cross Timbers Trail so I understand some related traffic, but there was homeless people hanging around and way too much traffic coming and going to be hikers. Many vehicles come and leave after short stays. The local authorities should investigate just what is happening in those woods.

When requesting information about my reservation, staff was not able to provide that information. Some staff could not access my reservation information and advised erroneous action. I wasted a 120 mile round trip and several hours of my day.

The sites really need to be leveled. Maybe over the winter months this can be done. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant.

The bathrooms were not well kept the lights were burnt out and there were no shower curtains in the men's bathroom and no ventilation in either men or women's bathroom

I have been to this campground many times. It's beautiful, well maintained and for the most place quiet and relaxing. However this trip was very different. I was there for 7 days and 4 of those days people in vehicles (not camping) would pull into campsites and spend the day into the night partying, swimming, BBQ'ing, playing loud music with dogs running around off the leash. I was forced into my RV with my dogs (who were leashed in my campsite) because their dogs ran loose and came into my site. This was such a disappointing vacation for me. There needs to be a campground host monitoring this and not allowing unpaid day use which ruins things for others who are paying to enjoy their campsite.

  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
