What Guests Are Saying
Platter Flats is praised for its cleanliness, convenient bathroom facilities, and beautiful views, particularly from the B loop overlooking Lake Texoma. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, helpful staff, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite camping destination. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and the need for maintenance on picnic tables and ant control, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

The park ranger Conner was excellent help all around. Conner is great at his job and look forward to seeing him out there again.

The site (B26) that was available for a 43 foot RV only had 30 amp power. The other smaller sites, had 50 amp power. So, we could only run 1 a/c. In the "B" section of the campground there is no good place to swim. Its hard to get down to the water. Overall, not a bad place to camp. Sites were clean.

The spot was beautiful. But the campers that were there the night before us set up a pen full of chickens right where my camper would be parked. There was hay, feathers, bugs, and chicken poop. It smelled awful in the heat. The camp host helped rake it away from the site and apologized but the smell was awful. You couldn’t sit anywhere around the site without smelling chicken poop.

The spots that are available at Platter Flatts are very nice. They are water and electricity only sites with no black water connections. The bathrooms are nearby and easily accessible, and the only issue we had was that one of the bathrooms is like an outhouse, and the other is running water and showers. The gates do close in the evening and you cannot return if you leave after hours until the next morning.
