What Guests Are Saying
Platter Flats is praised for its cleanliness, convenient bathroom facilities, and beautiful views, particularly from the B loop overlooking Lake Texoma. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, helpful staff, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite camping destination. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and the need for maintenance on picnic tables and ant control, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

Unfortunately I found several non-equestrian, long-term campers had almost filled the equestrian camping loop. One of our group wasn't able to camp nearby. Wish there was a way to keep equestrian areas for equestrian campers.

Beautiful scenery, great view across the lake and coves for fishing. Great Park attendant Charlie. Friendly watches after and gets to know his continual campers.

This really has nothing to do with our actual stay, but using recreation.gov required us to reserve two days. Because we were coming for a layover of one night, I didn't think we should have to pay for two nights, especially in January when half the horse camp was closed off.
The water was off, the showers were off and all we really used was the electric for our motor home. We left early before dawn with our horses in tow.
