What Guests Are Saying
Platter Flats is praised for its cleanliness, convenient bathroom facilities, and beautiful views, particularly from the B loop overlooking Lake Texoma. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, helpful staff, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite camping destination. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and the need for maintenance on picnic tables and ant control, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

I would not recommend the park at this time. There is no guard at the gate. People can come and go as they please and the park seems to be unsupervised.
We were approached by two different women that seemed to be strung out on drugs. Both we occupants of the parks.
The police had to be called out when one of the women came up and threatened our friend and threatened harm to the horses.
Probably will not be back until the get a guard back at the gate and the park is supervised again.

Very easy to set up a reservation as long as the parks are set up.

My favorite place to camp with my horses. The trails are great and itβs a beautiful place to stay. I love the concrete pads they have at most campsites.

The quality of Army Corps of Engineer parks has plummeted since they have terminated the park attendants. Local kids take over the courtesy docks, swimming, yelling and partying. We saw a teenager jump off the dock behind a backing boat that had just launched. The operator had to take evasive action to keep from striking the teen with the propeller. We stayed from Thursday through Sunday. During that time, the bathrooms weren't serviced once. No toilet paper, and feces and urine splattered everywhere. We refused to use them. With no one to enforce the rules, partying and fast moving traffic went on all night. The gates were left open all night. We saw many arguments between the teens and boaters as the teens had the boat ramps blocked by parking in no parking zones. We will only be attending State Parks from now on the have attendants and Park Rangers.

Don't like the fact that there is no park attendence and that the gate stays open all night. Alot of people come in on the weekend day use and are really loud. And we had stuff stolen during the night for the fact of not locking the gate. Other than that it was good.
