Overall, Lofer's Bend is a great park, with phenomenal Texas sunsets, and we would gladly come back. Facilities are in decent shape. The area of the park we camped in (sites E57 - E62) needed trees trimmed over the access roads, so gooseneck/5th wheel trailers need to be very careful of AC units in this area. Also some sites are near impossible to access with a long trailer. We swapped with a camper that couldn't get into site E58.

WE HAVE BEEN STAYING AT THIS SAME SPOT FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS OR SO FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY. WE LOVE IT HERE. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM SINCE WE HAVE BEEN THERE. THIS YEAR WE DID HAVE A LITTLE SCARE THOUGH. WHEN WE WERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE MY HUSBAND MOVED THE ICE CHEST AND THERE WAS A SMALL RATTLESNAKE UNDER IT. THANK GOODNESS NO ONE WAS BIT. THAT IS THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE EVER SEEN A SNAKE WHILE CAMPING THERE. NEXT YEAR WE WILL BE REALLY CAUTIOUS.

This park is very popular. The landscape is East Texas pine trees that cover rolling hills. Lake Pat Mayes is a beautiful place.

Park attendant very friendly. Loved the deer and geese. Only thing that wasn't good was a lot of grass burs in the campsite. But this is TX and the grass burs are difficult to get rid of.

We absolutely love camping at Lofers Bend. I’ve been making memories at this lake for over 40 years and now I’m making lake memories with my husband and kids. Lofers is always clean, safe and family friendly. I highly recommend visiting.

It was an absolute fantastic time. We love to stay at site 43 east because of all the wild life. We bring corn to feed the deer , this year we had several other species and its worth it

Beautiful, well kept and so peaceful. We were right across from a boat dock and bar/ grill. Excellent live music
The sunsets were amazing, we even got to watch a storm roll in
I think the deer wanted to be friends but I saw a YouTube video that deterred me from booping the snoot or snackies
2 weeks of bliss.
