Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained campsites and bathrooms, as well as the availability of outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking. I rode my bicycle to Mott Park from San Marcos Texas. I went out there from Ennis Texas, where I had to stay at a days as a motel six for two days cause I was early for my reservation at Mott Park. I got to Moss Park. I had a front tire on my bicycle going flat, pumped up went back to Walmart where they have all the camping supplies for Park and bicycle tires and bought me one bought my 12 pack of water and some other food items like canned food for my trip. Went back to Mott’s Park and enjoyed my stay never had to change my tire enjoyed. The weather it stormed that night and I stayed inside my tent and it was still good love every bit of it love Mott’s Park. Nice place to camp nice friendly people at the gate. They welcome me back next year. They’d love to see me they said anyway love Mott’s Park. That’s the second time I’ve ever camp there. And it storms at night the second time like the first time similar love the weather camping in the storms. I’ve done quite a bit up my life at different lake Front Lakeside Park properties and parks and always welcomed
when I show. I don’t mind the weather though. There is a Walmart about 10 miles down the road to get all your food supplies for the for the park if you need so or H-E-B there’s other outfitters there there’s chilies you can always go out to eat and other places like that. McDonald’s always get a burger and fries to go.

Beautiful park with nice views of the lake. Most RV spots are spaced apart nicely. However, the water well failed and we had NO water from Saturday morning until checkout Sunday morning. This created an inconvienance of us rationing water until we left. I will go back though as they had a nice park setting.

The park was freshly mowed, potholes patched and the damage from the flooding cleaned up. We had a great visit.

We ended up not staying here. Seemed like it was kept up well enough, and the gate staff were helpful, but there were lots of people and several dogs running loose (with owners but zero leashes). It did not promise to be a peaceful stay so we went up the road a bit.

Great hosts, wonderful views, big spots, and good phone/internet service. All around a great park!

It was good, but not excellent. The restroom was OK, but with no paper and no saop an dthe shower quite simple. At the place some trees have been cutted, which could give more shadow. The place at the lake was nice, but too many road have been disturbing during night, when people went by car to the restroom

The campground needs updating. The roads are extremely narrow and not in the best of shape. Trees need to be trimmed more. There are only 2 public bathroom areas, which may be enough for off season, but which are too far apart and not practical. Perhaps a few porta potties would make more sense to make them more accessible for the many tenters. During our recent visit which was over the total eclipse weekend, that would have been a better solution. We would not choose to stay at this park again.

We had an amazing time viewing the April 8 2024 eclipse here! Our spots were freshly mowed, roads were paved. There are 4 single occupancy bathrooms, each has a sink, toilet and shower. They were thoroughly cleaned every morning around 6am. The lake access is very good from this spot, it's just a couple minute walk. Each spot has a charcoal grill, fire pit, and covered concrete picnic table. We loved this campground for sure!
