What Guests Are Saying
Waxahachie Creek offers a peaceful and quiet camping experience, with friendly staff who are helpful and accommodating. While the park shows potential and has seen some recent improvements like new water lines, there are ongoing issues such as overgrown vegetation, insect problems, and some electrical malfunctions at campsites. Many campers express a desire for better maintenance and upgrades to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

We always have a good time camping at Waxahachie Creek. It always has friendly host, it is quite and the camping spots are nearly all shaded.
We just wish it was still open all year instead of April through September.

The campground is in dire need of repair. Many of the sites had roofs that were falling in. The roads were full of potholes. There was a homeless man living at one of the campsites and had trash all over the place.

Very nice campground and a beautiful setting. We had just a little trouble connecting to the electricity as the 30 amp was not working, but luckily we could use the 50 amp connection. We did report this to the managers of the campground so I do believe everything would be fine. We had a great spot right on the lake and it was very quiet and peaceful.
