We have stayed there before but this was our first time at that site. We were on site 9 the site itself was great it’s a 50 amp pull through lots of shade throughout the entire day. There was only a couple of things that concerned me 1 the site wasn’t as clean as other sites we had been in before at bear creek. 2 there was a horrible smell that drew lots of flys it smelled as if there had been fish cleaned on the site.
Now the staff at the park, they are awesome. They have been every time we have been there.

I have camped at this spot before. Love it. Plenty of shade and a great view of the lake. What I do not care for is the 3pm check in time. If I check in at 3, then I spend the majority of day 1 setting up my campsite and not relaxing with friends n family. So the charge for day 1 becomes more of me paying you to set up my campsite, rather than me enjoying it. If it is after 12 noon, and the site is available, what's the harm in allowing me access? If the previous campers check out at 2 and I check in at 3, are we really talking about just under an hour of utility usage???

one very small access point to the water for bank fishing except at an outer point that had a lot brush and open to the lake, wouldn't want to swim at any location due to heavy brush etc., no boat launch and only a VERY few locations a boat could access, and a bunch of people setting around in RV's. As for me and my family we will not be back.
