What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

Nice campground. I stayed in the primitive area and there was a bit of a walk to the bathhouse/restroom. It was clean but pretty dated. It was in better condition than other national parks I stayed at on this trip.

We had a really great time here. The site was super spacious and being right by the water made it even better. definitely the best part of the trip!
The only hiccup was with the grass and mowing. When we got there, the grass was pretty tall, and then on our second morning a mowing crew showed up out of nowhere and started mowing our site while we were eating breakfast. It kicked up a bunch of dust all over everything. They did apologize, which we appreciated, but it would be nice if mowing could be scheduled when sites aren’t occupied.
Other than that, we had a great stay and would come back.

I have always had a great time at both Holiday and Bear Creek parks.

The campsite is great. The lake is beautiful. The bathroom situation is terrible. 4 individual toilet/showers for over 100 campsites is downright unsanitary. I’m surprised that the health department hasn’t closed them down.

Very nice folks with a nice selection of wine. The breeze up on the hill was nice and cool all evening. I hope to return there next time I pass through that town.

Nice COE campground really close to the urban life of Ft. Worth. We picked up our camper after some warranty work and wanted to make sure everything worked. It was nice to be close to the dealer to do this. The campground was neat, freshly mowed and had nice spacing between sites. The men's bathroom was shut down on the north side, but was available on the south side. All other amenities and hookups worked as designed.
