What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Breaks Park offers a beautiful and serene camping experience with spacious sites, a lovely lake, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the park's proximity to Austin and the abundance of hiking trails. However, some facilities, particularly the bathrooms, require maintenance, and there have been concerns about cleanliness and crowding on weekends.

What a shame that such a nice park would be overshadowed by poor administration issues!
The main issue was their 10:00 PM curfew. We are not children and we don't need to be treated as such. We were locked out of our site twice because we were unable to make their curfew and had to find somewhere else to stay.
I don't understand why they prefer to leave the campground mostly empty rather then allowing people to pay to extend their stays beyond the 14 day maximum.
No recycling containers are used, I expect better from our federal government!

A great ACE campground. Over 60 sites, mostly with >50% shade. Good spacing. All sites include covered, cement patio, picnic table, fire ring. Most sites are +/- 1inch side to side, if you have a rig more than 25 ft many sites along lake will have 3-6inch front to back (lakeside) or back to front slope opposite lakeside. IMHO, odd sites 1-10 are best for levelness. Sits on Lake Georgetown for fishing, boating, hiking.
Campground is <4 mi to Georgetown shopping, restaurants, shops, services, etc. Decent cell signal, even occasional 5G. You can't beat the $15/night rate with America the Beautiful pass ($30 full price). The absolute ONLY NEGATIVE are the bathhouses. They are in DIRE need of upgrading. It doesn't look like they have been updated in at least 20 years. Aside from that, wonderful campground.

CBP is one of my favorite campgrounds in Texas. Great hike trail and picnic area and a huge 4 lane boat ramp. It sits on a cliff overlooking the lake and the picnic area is a giant loop with lake views all over. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

Nice to see the park being cleaned up and better maintained than the past few years.

Site #41 is excessively unlevel. Impossible to get your rig fully level.

We had a enjoyable stay at site 27 from Feb 12 to Feb. 16. However, we had registered with two vehicles but when we checked in on Feb 12 the board only had one window tag. I tried twice on the next day but no one answer the call box. So for the next two days our rental had no tag. Nothing happen, no challenges or visitation to our site.

Always a good park. Many of the blacktop pads have crumbling edges that make for dangerous drop offs. We were camping but noticed many of the day use canopies were missing a lot of shingles.
