What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Breaks Park offers a beautiful and serene camping experience with spacious sites, a lovely lake, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the park's proximity to Austin and the abundance of hiking trails. However, some facilities, particularly the bathrooms, require maintenance, and there have been concerns about cleanliness and crowding on weekends.

This is a very quiet park, many trees, beautiful lake and very dark and quiet at night. Close to restaurants and grocery stores and gas. This is our third camping trip at this park and will return again.

Amazing shade trees, tons of space between sites for privacy and space, large covered picnic table with extra space for seating, bathroom facilities very close, easy access to trails and lake. We had a great time relaxing and exploring! Hidden gym just outside Austin!!!

This is one of our favorite places. It's full of trees for shade and lake access is around the corner. The trails are challenging and fun. The guard gate attendants are always so friendly and helpful.

We were never contacted by the Park Attendants and would only see them drive by maybe once a day. My husband said the Men's side of the bathroom was extremely poorly painted with huge paint stained on the floor and there was a razor left in one of the shower stalls. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept in quite some time. The lots say they can accommodate trailers but the pads are not level. An A class tried to set up across from us and the leveling took the front tires off the ground. While more and more campsites are being used by trailers this park needs to be updated to make sure the pads can accommodate larger trailers

Great campground, enjoyed the peace and tranquility it offered. I’m grateful that this is available to the public for getting away.

I love Cedar Parks and this was my 4-5th time there! The trees are beautiful and it’s small but has spaciously laid out sites. Bathrooms are ok (just repainted, but still need work), friendly and helpful park hosts and a lovely lake setting. Every site has a table shelter, which is great!
The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because of the excessive rain and one SERIOUS thunderstorm, but that is not the fault of the park.
On a side note, 2-1/2 years ago, I was camping there and a wind came out of nowhere and my phone went off telling me to seek shelter immediately if anywhere on Georgetown Lake because a tornado was passing over—— grabbed the dog and ran through wind and torrential rain to the concrete bath house, ( luckily very close) where I waited for it to pass—- about 20 minutes. Came out to see my trailer and car unharmed, but walked the campsite loop to see several trees snapped into, and shingles, branches and debris everywhere.
I only include this story to highlight the wonderful camp staff who had teams out EARLY the next morning, clearing the roads, cutting up the trees, etc. The quick response was appreciated and impressive.
