What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Breaks Park offers a beautiful and serene camping experience with spacious sites, a lovely lake, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the park's proximity to Austin and the abundance of hiking trails. However, some facilities, particularly the bathrooms, require maintenance, and there have been concerns about cleanliness and crowding on weekends.

I've been camping at Lake Georgetown for over 30 years (I remember driving to the overlook and seeing it fill with water for the first time). I've always loved having these facilities located so close to home and being able to come out, relax, unwind, and enjoy the lake. However, over the last couple of years, I've noticed how much visitors seem to abuse the campsites. They leave them filled with trash and destroy the parking areas, throwing chunks of asphalt onto the pavilions. This leads to ant invasions and raccoon encroachments (whole families of 4) expecting their next meal. Not to mention the water leak at the campground bathroom that has existed forever and seems to have finally broken through, causing a full-on flood situation. I suspect a similar leak at the boat ramp bathroom because it's good luck getting water there, with the water seemingly turned off, even on one of the hottest days of the year.
I will be seriously thinking about my next trip to the campsites at Lake Georgetown. I really hope they can put some resources into the park, police the campers, and return the park to its former glory as one of the best places to camp in Central Texas.

Several trees need to be trimmed back. They’re scratching my RV.
A lot sites are unlevel and are too short for larger RVs.

We had a Good site, # 11. Cedar Ridge was a Clean park and nice view of lake. We Would definitely go again. The covered picnic table was great and enjoyed alls the deer in nearby woods. Bathrooms so close as well.

A nice park that needs TLC. Pavement issues abound. A convenient stay north of Austin.
