We were attached by off leash dogs x3 / we went to the on and off duty hosts and no one was available to help us and no emergency number to call other than the police / very dissapointing

It's always a nice visit to Jim Hogg Park. As the crow flies, we live only 11 miles away, so it's nice to have a space like this so close to home. Randall's (Albertson's) is right up the road, so we never have to stock the trailer before going. We park, set up, and then we get groceries - it also gives the camper time to cool down while we are out. There are also restaurants close by, and a shout-out to Phoever Diner next to Randalls for great Vietnamese food.

Gate attendants were very rude and made it seem like they were protecting the white house. A man drove around on a golf cart constantly staring at the people camping and was taking notes. Never experienced such oddity at any by other camp facility

Our first visit here. Absolutely beautiful and so relaxing! Deer were all around us. Even saw a couple of roadrunners! The water was clear and cool.
Will be back OFTEN!

We booked two sites using our senior pass discount. After arriving, we were told we had to pay extra money. Also, the parking situation is very poor. No one wants to leave their boat in a distant parking lot.

We stayed in 70-79 area. Lots of shade close to restrooms and overflow parking. We have a 36ft 5th wheel. Easy to back in and had 50 Amp service. You can see the water from this area (we had site 72). We were with a large group. Area is clean and we'll maintained.
Be aware of chiggers and other problem bugs. Spray your ankles well to keep ground critters away.
We like that Jim Hogg is close to Georgetown for shopping, ice and restaurants. The Lake is up! We saw so many folks out on the water having fun. Our visit was the first week of June. Pretty warm. We plan on many more trips to Jim Hogg.
