This was our first trip with our new camper and we couldn't have picked a better spot for the "sea trails". Our spot was level and had a nice view of the lake. Hookups worked with no issues. Picnic table and area around it was clean and well maintained. Fire pit was great and offered just enough wind protection for us to get a fire up and going in no time despite the wind....and one of us forgetting to bring the kindling....and the hatchet to make kindling from our logs. Check in and check out were smooth and the on-site facilities were clean and also well maintained. ATT cell coverage was good enough for me to be able to watch Army beat Navy on the TV in the camper so don't be alarmed if you only get 1 bar of coverage.

Enjoyed our stay at this quiet CORPS park. Unfortunately, water levels were extremely low, including at the boat launch, so we were unable to use it. There is walkable access to the shoreline at several spots in the park.
This is a park that takes either tents or rvs at the camping sites. Each site has a pad, water and 20/30 amp hookups, as well as a covered picnic table and benches located on a separate cement pad. The site pads vary in how level they are, and in the condition of the blacktopping.
There is also a separate area for equestrians.
A large "group shelter", which is basically a large roofed platform with three large picnic tables and benches, is available for a fee.
Restrooms/showers seem fairly well kept (we didn't use the showers, so we can't really comment on them.) A sign indicated that the restrooms are cleaned three times a week. I believe those days were Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays.
While the recreation.gov website showed that all sites were booked on the weekend while we were there, there were numerous sites that remained empty, presumably due to no shows?????

Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Individual pavilions covering the picnic tables. Nicely spaced sites. Good experience

Recommend spot 6. Park was extremely quiet, not many campers when we went around the first week of December. I would definitely go back

Everything was perfect. The gate Attendant was extra friendly. They also had nice holiday decorations put up. I wouldn’t change anything.

The easiest place so far in Texas. No weird check in and we could go late. Windy. Small though, easy to navigate. Loved it!

Great campground, quiet, spacious sites, shady. The only downside is that while there is a sewer, it was only 30 amp. Luckily it was cool - no need for air cond.
