Over all the camping spots are good. However the bathrooms are dirty even though someone cleaned them while we were there they are still dirty. Also I do not like the fact that the gate is closed at 10 pm and you can not come in the park at all even as a guess.

Restrooms and showers not clean and could really use an overhaul. Staff very friendly.

Great place to camp until Karen arrives. Yelled at everyone driving by to slow down and they all were under the speed limit. Obnoxious human.

Stayed in a tent on site 10. As other reviewers mentioned, there is not a flat spot for a tent unless you don’t want to use the fire pit. We also ended up pushing the picnic table and setting up on the concrete pad under the shelter.
A nice walking path down to a finger of the lake behind the site.
Some neighboring campers in RVs had flood lights pointing straight at our tent as they LOUDLY played cornhole but at least they weren’t blaring music or using language that was too bad. Just a bit of drunken fun. And their noise stopped like flipping a switch at 10 pm quiet hours so at least there was that. It was a couple hours later than our 3 yr old’s bedtime on her 1st camping trip but it was still an enjoyable time.
Also, it would be nice if campers w RVs and Xmas lights could turn them off when they went to bed. Even with a rain fly on, our tent was fully lit up all night long.
Great pebble beach, great host, clean bathrooms. Our campsite was clean when we got there. Really like the small counter under the shelter to set up food or lanterns. Small nice playground.

We always enjoy our yearly fishing trips here. Great campgrounds with plenty of room around each site.

nice park, lots of space, quiet, bluebonnets and paint brush blossoming...could have mowed the grass sooner (we stayed two weeks and they just mowed the grass), fishing space was limited (unless you had a boat).

Nice location, quiet and relaxing. Watched the eclipse. Lots of room to ride bikes. Plowmans restaurant in Taylor was very good.

We went for the solar eclipse and had a great time. Just a note in case you're tent camping, check where the light posts are at night because they come on automatically and stay on all night. Good to know when picking a tent spot during the day.
The lake is large and looks like a great time, although we didn't do any watersports this time. I would consider returning again, we thought the covered patio areas and the cabins were all very well upkept and the bathrooms had running water, flushing toilets, and showers.
