I arrived at this property around 5 PM for a scheduled pickup. I stopped at the entrance sign. There was no gate, no attendant, and no posted check-in instructions.
An older security guard then rushed out of the office and falsely accused me of not stopping and speeding , neither of which is true. He then told the guest he did not want me to ever return and that this was my “last time” on the property.
That is unacceptable. Security does not have authority to arbitrarily ban lawful visitors who are there for legitimate business and following posted signage.
If you require check-in, staff it and post it. Do not harass drivers and guests for your own lack of procedure. Extremely unprofessional and concerning conduct.

First time here with our new RV and have enjoyed our stay so far. The pad we selected has all the hookups (electric, water, waste) and appears in good working order. The grounds are well maintained (with the exception of the occasional pile of dog poo a guest was too important to pick up). The grass is mowed, no trash blowing about, playground area is clean and the equipment seems well- maintained, even the sand on the beach area was raked. Our dog enjoyed running along the shore of Puppy Point at the north end of the property. It has a large bench with a backrest that moves allowing you sit facing the shore line or sit facing the RV park... your choice. It has a large pavilion that can be rented for events but nothing was going on while we were here. The RV park has a great view of Scott's Landing Marina just across the cove, a really nice view at night. The only minor drawback of this location has been the air traffic from DFW gets loud when planes are taking off to the north. Doesn't take long before it becomes a background white noise, but it can mess up a good punch line when sitting around the RV and telling stories with others guests. We've enjoyed our stay and we'll be back.

Stayed in site 44 for a week during Christmas. Big rig friendly. Our site was not level but we made it work. It was worth the view. This campground is top tier. Extremely secure, tucked away, and serene. The sites are spread out and each one has a nice view. Convenient to shopping and interstates. The staff was nice and helpful. If you have pets, they allow a 10x10 fence only. There are some long term rvs but the rules and guidelines keep this park beautiful. If you go during Christmas, check out Bad Santa at the Marina.

This is a very hard post for me to write because we enjoy the location of the vineyards and the sites and amenities that are close by.
Unfortunately, we have experienced on many occasions the staff to be extremely rude and at some point aggressive on approach to enforce speeding in the park and not stopping at the gate, as well as accusing my wife of not picking up our dog’s fecal when they have their business in the grass. To address the speeding in the park I have a GPS monitor on my truck with camera that monitors the speed and records 24 hours a day seven days a week and after their security came down and publicly yelled at me, I went to the front to present this video to them and all I was given was I apologize. As for addressing the comments that my wife doesn’t pick up her excrement from the dogs after they Are finished, we carry a roll of dog poop bags, the same color As well as our own bucket that we put this in when they are finished. I took this to the front and showed them. This is what we keep throughout our trip and throw away at our convenience. The lady just said she was following up on a complaint and did not offer any kind of apology for accusing my wife of not cleaning up after our dogs.
This park is one of the best parks around Because of its layout, but unfortunately, it is managed by Unprofessional employees at the front gate, who will not get off of their hind ends to check the passes of cars coming in and out of the gate (that is their job)or follow up appropriately with customers when complaints have been made so that they can defend the complaint made against them. Every time I have dealt with the front gate staff, it has been unpleasant and rude to say the least, after spending thousands of dollars at this campground, you would assume the staff to appreciate your patronage and respect your dignity and honor but clearly that is not the case. This is a work camper employed staff, and I guess they get what they get and have to deal with the people they employ, but only two companies myself I would never tolerate this kind of inappropriate language, actions, and blatant disrespect to my customers. These employees should be terminated at best educated and disciplined on proper communication skills and customer interaction protocols.
My next letter will be to the mayor and the city Council to expose the blatant disrespect and lies that the management at the vineyards campgrounds gives to it patrons.

This is a well maintained and run campground. Inside the city with the out in the country feel being around the lake. Staff has been friendly and helpful. I dont feel over burdened with a list of rules and requirements but everyone around us has been great as well. The gate closes early but you are provided a gate code. The scenery is great. You are under the airport path but you only get a slight rumble every now and again. We have enjoyed our stay and have started making plans to come back. Speeds are good for internet (we bring our own) att, tmo, and Verizon. Sites are not too close together where we stayed but even if they are close it feels like everyone has good views and enough separation. We will return! I never used the wash house or the camp store because we didnt need much and had full hook ups but they appear well appointed from afar.
