Very nice, clean park. Good spacing between sites make for a very fun time setting outside watching the sun come up from out trailer. Will definitely come back again.

The campgrounds themselves are well maintained and clean. However, if you need the shower and bathroom facilities you may need to note there are a few available, but none had warm water at different times of the day. All of them were not fully operating, to the point some even had the shower heads removed. Not clean, and badly needed updating.
They were well marked for your site.
And close to metro areas like Dallas.

We really like this campground. Spacing is great for most sites and the views of the lake, even from off lake sites, is stunning. The only downside is there's lots of air traffic going into DFW that can be noisy at times.

Very spacious and nice scenic campground. Noise level from being under flight paths of planes landing to DFW airport was slightly distracting.

Nice park near the lake. Mostly large spaces. Near Walmart, grocery stores & restaurants.

Park is beautiful, clean bath/restrooms.
Aircraft flight path, every minute and a half there is a jet flying over. We all had a difficult time sitting out and talking.

When traveling North on I-35E, take exit 458A toward Swisher Rd/FM-2181 onto S stemmons Fwy. Continue onto N Stemmons Fwy toward Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn right on to N Lake Dallas Dr towards Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn sharp right onto W Hundley Dr towards Hickory Creek. Continue on Turbeville Rd, and turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.
When traveling South on I-35E, take exit 457 toward Lake Dallas Dr onto Stemmons Fwy. Then, take ramp towards Turbeville Rd/Hundley Dr/Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Turbeville Rd towards Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.

The park gate closes at 10pm and there is no entry/re-entry until 6am. Exit gate will open in case of emergency. There is NO code for the gate. Please plan accordingly. |

STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood.
