When we arrived, someone was in our reserved space. The people running the campgrounds could do nothing to get them out, so we ended up with a very undesirable spot, which was rather upsetting. To make matters worse, the rangers don't work weekends, so there was no one around to remedy the situation. I requested some sort of compensation and was given two phone numbers to call, one doesn't work at all and the other disconnects after a few rings.
It wasn't the best experience.

Surprisingly quiet park to be so close to the highway/city. Large COE RV park on Lewisville Lake. Well maintained

Very nice and clean campground. I wish there was a playground as they advertise on their signs through the park, but there aren’t any. The bathrooms are “ok”, but not one that I’d use if I could help it. It’s nice that they have showers though.

Site 12 suffers from some serious muddy runoff during rains. Also, the incline to back up to the pad is rather steep and might be a challenge for some vehicles.

We had a great time at Hickory Creek. We were in site 26 which was an excellent location. The park was very clean with nice restrooms and showers. All workers were very friendly. Our site had adequate parking for our RV and two cars. We will definitely be back again!
