Hickory Creek (TX)

On May 23rd our power kept dropping. And the Saturday afternoon when we tried to prepare dinner it we went out completely. They tried to get power back on but we were told we would not get power until the 25th or 26th. By that time it was to late to relocate. We were lucky it was a cooler night and could sleep some before moving. Fortunately I got on site and could book for the next few nights in the last site available in the park. But to do that and get my discount I had to cancel remaining nights. I did receive a $15 refund but had to pay $10 to cancel remaking night.
Part of our party had to leave because couldn't stay with out AC in their RV.
We felt like the park should have been better prepared for that kind of situation. We reported earlier in the day there was a problem and we feel if it would have been addressed at that time it could have been taken care of before it got so bad.

great

I picked this space because I was hoping to get some shade but the sun hits it during the hottest part of the day.

One of the most beautiful green Parks I've ever been in.

Very nice place! Had fun fishing, biking and camping. Relatively clean sites and bathrooms. Will definitely go again!

Sites are very nice! Price is excellent! People working there are great! Bathroom and shower facilities huge disappointment…dirty!

Hickory Creek is our goto park for many reasons and we are consistently impressed with this place!
From the staff when you first enter the gate to the cleanliness, quietness and overall beauty of the sites, it is amazing.
We have stayed at this particular site before and it is one of our favorites.
The trees on this site provide a great sense of seclusion. Love it!

We enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful park with lots of nice shady spots. Ours was a bit on the small side but still nice. It is what it is, but the air traffic to DFW can be a bit intrusive at times.

Park host for site 55 was not policing nightly noise limits nor the pit or ring was cleaned out.
Multiple bathhouses had handicap stalls out of order and showers were not working.

Disappointing maintenance.

Very nice campsite, clean, easy to park motorhome, loved seeing the deer. Great time and will do it again!
