What Guests Are Saying
Hickory Creek offers a beautiful and spacious campground with plenty of trees, clean grounds, and friendly staff, making it a great escape from the busy Dallas area. The park is beautiful, the trees the lake, so nice-the bathrooms , however, were awful. Spiders everywhere, clogged shower drains (which were reported to a camp host when we camped there in November). Too many people letting their dogs run loose or leaving them in their camper barking and whining . One camper near us left their two dogs alone everyday, we felt sorry for the dogs, but good heavens, they were LOUD.

Great park, nice water views, close to Dallas, and beautiful deer. All those things are at Hickory Creek. The only drawback is some sites have no shade.

We loved site 87 by the lake. It is a beautiful park. The bath house by the sites in the 40's did not have hot water on the men's side, and lukewarm water on the women's side so showering was miserable. That bath house was not very nice.
