About Ebenezer Park

Ebenezer Park features some of the most beautiful horseback riding trails in southeast Texas. It's the only Army Corps of Engineers park on Sam Rayburn Reservoir with equestrian campsites, making it the go-to destination for horse-owners. The horse trail terrain is soft and sandy, so horseshoes are not required. Trails glide over rolling hills through creeks and gullies. Some trails even have beach access, allowing riders and their horses to cool off on a hot day. Note: The horse access beach and majority of the trail system are located on USFS property.

Our camp host was awesome! We saw him out and around a lot during the days, he came over as we were parking and welcomed us and answered any questions. The park and bathrooms were very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Camp Host Dustin was very nice. Most sites had good partial or all day shade for horses. Some pens are too exposed due tree loss that can’t be helped. Toilets and showers are so hot, needs more ventilation, I realize that II is not realistic to make them air conditioned. It all needs a new coat of paint.

The park was nice as usual. We booked a tent site #24 and when we got there at check in time there were people at our tent site set up and using the picnic table and they were down swimming at the beach. They stayed a few hours but then left and took their stuff from the picnic table but left all the trash in the fire place.
