Stalls do not drain properly, so extremely muddy. Had to dig trenches to drain. They need slope and sand.

The park is right next to the trails which is wonderful for trail riders - no need to trailer your horse anywhere. The pens were wet - it would be great to have sand to put in them as it has been raining so much around here. Trail maps are available at Ebenezer Map Trails on Face Book - it makes getting around easier. Very close to The Stump restaurant and a Dollar General Store. Tia Juanita's is excellent and is about 14 mi away on HWY 96. Miles and miles of trails with gently rolling hills, creeks to cross and the lake is accessible. Electric and water at all the sites and 2 large horse pens for each site. I love Ebenezer - it is pretty much my favorite place to camp and ride. I live 100 mi from there and come as often as I can. Thanks for such a great spot!!

2nd stall gate in spot #1 was unable to be secured when I was there in June due to shifting in panels. Be prepared to secure it yourself with chain & lock, if necessary. Other than that, great trails, great views, great lake, great place to go.

Beautiful fall day, we didn’t realize when we arrived that you needed a reservation since the beach was closed. Luckily a park employee stopped over and informed us we could make a reservation for the same day and we did so. He also said we were free to go down to the water and swim. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves the entire day and it was honestly the best $14 I could have spent!

Awesome place, friendly park keeper Larry, clean and tidy territory, toilets, etc. Perfect view, especially from the place 14.

The veiw, atmosphere and hospitality was TOP NOTCH. This was our 2nd visit to Ebenezer Park and although the 1st one was nice, this one far exceeded it. We are from Lake Charles and evacuated from the direct hit of Hurricane Delta after just being hit by Laura 6 weeks before. Upon arrival, Larry met us and directed us into our spot. He hung around to make sure all was good. He is an EXCELLENT Park Keeper. Hus is very curious and helpful and is Johnny on the Spot as far as the upkeep and cleaniness of the park. We will definitely be going back during the season he is there.

This place is a must to camp with your family. I was impressed of how well maintained, cleaned, up-kept camping spot this is. The host/caretaker of the park, Larry was so attentive & made sure everyone was following park rules & checking in with everyone. The bathrooms & showers were clean & the campsites as well. This will be a place my family & I will frequent from now on when we need a local camping area.

We love tent camping here. There is only equestrian and tent camping, so it’s not a place full of RV’s. Choosing a spot is important, because many of them have no level areas and no tent pads, but the views are amazing. Note that although the tent spots just say no electricity, they also have no water. There is a water station near the entrance, but you’ll need containers and the ability to haul them.
