What Guests Are Saying
Hanks Creek campground is well-kept and offers a peaceful atmosphere, with clean sites and decent facilities, making it a great spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. Many campers enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake and appreciated the friendly park hosts. However, some areas are in need of maintenance and updates, particularly the boat ramps and restroom facilities, which have been affected by recent flooding and storms.

Alligators are everywhere. Water is too low, but I know they are working on the dam. Do you know how long it will before they are finished?

We stayed two nights, arriving on a Friday. The camp host was very helpful and nice. We were at site 12 which had a nice picnic area and a view of the water. There were large groups of people camping near by - one had 7-8 vehicles and were quite loud during the day. They turned the music down at 10pm but there were kids riding their bikes and being loud till midnight. There were also cars going by and a group of people walking (and talking loudly) at 4:30am. Site 12 is a pull-through along the road, so any noise is quite noticeable. Other sites are set back and might not have the noise issue.
The next night was much quieter.

The day pavilion is nice to use for get togethers. Nice cover with plenty of tables and benches and electricity and trash cans with bags. Just remember to bring tablecloths because the tabletops are hard to clean and a broom especially if it’s windy to handle the leaves. Bathrooms are close and playground is a definite plus

I have asked for a dead tree on site 20 to be cut since September 2023…..it is about to fall on a camper or a person!! It is leaning
We plan to camp in May, but can not camp unless that huge dead tree is cut. Please!
Thank you
