What Guests Are Saying
Mill Creek offers a beautiful, relaxing environment with friendly park hosts and ample space for family activities, making it a great spot for camping. Many guests appreciate the clean facilities and scenic views of the lake, along with enjoyable playgrounds for children. However, there are concerns about the maintenance of the campground, including uneven sites, overgrown grass, and the need for repairs, which detracts from the overall experience for some visitors.

Great news! If you haven’t been here in a while, the pipes are coming down and the park is looking more like it did years ago.

The park was VERY unkept. The dump
Station was PITIFUL with only 1 hose. It smelled TERRIBLE. The only thing going for that park
now is the restroom are good. I used to go there very often and it was nice. I will not go back there again unless it changes drastically. I was very
Disappointed!!!!

We miss the "first-come" on some of the spaces. We can't always plan ahead.

The best park today and fish and relax in Texas. Super friendly volunteers and very very clean restrooms and showers.

actual site was terrible, bathrooms were clean, access to boat ramp was ok, but the decline was ridiculous. the whole park was disappointing, hasn't been updated or improved in 30 years. the sites are close together and there is round pipe bars around each site so no "wiggle" room at all. Will Not be back,

The problem was not with Mill Creek per se... but with an overstepping sheriff that patrolled the park on the day we were leaving. As you know when a camper backs in or pulls out... there is a short period of time they may block some traffic. I wrote a complaint letter to his boss via email but never heard back. The wife and I LOVE Mill Creek but will never be back.
Here is the basic content of the complaint letter. I also have pictures which I can send to you.
What happened next was nothing short of harassment and over abuse of the badge treatment by Mr Miller. (hear me out please) I have been camping for 35 years… run into a few rude campers but mostly the most friendly folks out there. But never have I run into a officer that seemed to have a chip on his shoulder when he pulled up. As I said, we had pulled very slowly out of our campsite. There were LOTS of extra vehicles parked along the road because of the holiday weekend. So it made it a bit hard to get out of the site with a 35’ motorhome that doesn’t turn on a dime. There was a tree on the left of the drive, a steel pole on the left, a truck just to the left of our campsite and well it was tight.
If you even look at a map of a park, the site driveways are angled to make it typically where you pull past them and then back in. When you leave you pull straight out and onto the roadway. Please refer to the camp map I included with this report. We were facing the only way we could go. Anyway, as I get to the back of the MH, I look up and Mr Miller has pulled up, his vehicle a few feet from the front of my MH and he shrugs like ‘what the heck’? He then rolls down his window and yells ‘So are you just going to block the roadway’? I really didn’t know how to answer that… he was the one blocking me… not the other way around…
