What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

We arrived at our spot, it was clean and nice. The only thing we had an issue with is that they where removing trees all day and early in the mornings. We wanted a get away of peace and quite but we didn't receive that. Also, there was one camp sight that had about 6 cars and they all started parking at the bathroom/showers. We had no where to park when we went to shower. We never seen a park ranger come through at all, or I would have told them this situation. We will be back, because we love the location.

Sandy Creek is a very good place to camp although we were in a camper but it was still pretty nice but even saw alligator coming toward us

the second day visiting that morning we experienced chigger bites on ankles and legs. the itching only became worst , since we had"nt brought any itch cream with us. we stayed at site #18 next to some wooded area. Its been over seven days and the bites are still red noticable areas . I am pretty sure we wont be camping at Sandy Creek anymore. There is a good report though, It is very quiet and peaceful at night.. The Park Host was very profession and polite..

Sandy Creek is one of those hidden gems, it really is a nice campsite, it’s quiet, pretty sunsets, multiple boat ramps, and decent size campsites. I’ll definitely go back.
BEWARE- There are alligators in the water there, making swimming not so appealing.
