What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

Beautiful view of the lake. Hosts are fantastic and will bring you wood if you request it. Easy to get around in the park. Roads leading to park are rough...recommend Rt 156 instead of 777 and 155 as 156 is shorter. Jasper downtown park area is very pretty. No problems with bugs/ants. Big Rig friendly. We were there in a 76 foot set up in November. Only reason why we didn't give it a 5 is because the bathrooms are old and have push button showers that are only warm.

We stayed over the weekend and couldn't get a favorite site so we were watched by the adjoining site campers every time they were sitting outside.
Other campers burned wet wood all day smoking up our site, had to keep the windows and door closed.
The bathrooms were clean, the hiking is great, overall a good campground - just get the right site!

Campground was awesome. But the customer service at recreation.gov was awful. According to your website you are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas and a few other days during the year. We tried to get in touch with somebody for two days after Thanksgiving regarding a reservation issue. We were on hold for hours and no one ever answered the phone. Also according to your website your available sites are updated, the space next to us was empty the entire weekend and it showed that it was occupied. Our son wanted to move spaces to be next to us. The guy taking care of the park said we had to contact you to make that change since it showed that the space was reserved in your system even though he didn't have a reservation for that space.
