What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

Spot #71 was a good stay. Barking dogs have been a problem in the past but this time it was peaceful and quite. The gate attendants did a good job.

Awesome campgrounds, clean well kept, the sites are very spacious. We had a beautiful spot on the corner right on the lake. So relaxing we are definitely coming back.

This is our favorite camping place in TX. A hidden gem in the north-east of Houston that has the most amazing sunsets we have seen full or red, yellow, and orange that reflect on the surface of the lake. Although it doesn’t have trails and other things found in state parks, it offers a relaxing environment with peace and quiet surrounded by tall pine trees all around.

Nice roomy sites. Hosts kept the park very clean. Most sites were lakefront and the sunsets were awesome
