Make sure to carry lots of ant spray/killer, as they are 'atrocious', invading your vehicles, campers and anything that touches the ground. If you leave your watercraft in the water at the inside-park boat ramp, be warned, you may have buzzards come aboard, even with the fake owls standing guard. The trees/bushes along the camp banks need to be cut and trimmed as they are beginning to block lakeside views of the water. Even with the drawbacks(if you want to call them that) I had a great 2 weeks and will be returning next year.
The staff and maintenance team at Alley Creek Campgrounds are courteous and polite and do what they can to make your stay as pleasantly as possible.

Very nice quaint campground. The staff is fantastic! They are very helpful and kind. And went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. Thank you Whitney, Charlie and Ranger Stacy!! I look forward to another stay in the future.

Everything was great except for the animal that got in my boat. It got got the lid off of my catfish bait and flour and had it all over the inside of the boat. I'll know better next time. It liked my bait though. It ate quite a bit.

Great campsite with amazing park host. We initially were booked for site 214. Once we got the trailer hooked up to power, the surge protector kept tripping. Maintenance came by and said it was low voltage and there is nothing they can do about it. The park host quickly found us another open site at 114. It worked out for the better as this site had much more space between campsites. The campground was clean, freshly mowed, quiet and relaxing. Loved our time there.

Our trip was very enjoyable . We did notice that park was not as well maintained as is has been in the past.

We enjoyed the nice shaded sites on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed watching deer each day. Make sure to take ant killer to make a perimeter around your campsite.

The only negative thing we encountered was a super smelly dumpster that needed to be dumped and fumigated when we got there, that was very close to our campsite. There was also a wasp nest in our electric supply box.

Grass was overgrown, dumpster are too close to bathrooms and the smell and buzzards are terrible. The park management was nice but after going there 8 years straight we were very disappointed.
